Mathis 31 Sportfish Design 1595
design is a bit of a mystery. The technical files show a project name of Mathis 31. Mathis was historically a boat builder in Camden, New Jersey which eventually became Trumpy Yachts. Yet Mathis ceased building boats in the mid 1950s and the date of this design is 1961.
The boat was extensively tank tested at the Davidson Laboratory at Stevens Institute of New Jersey. Heres an image of the tank testing in progress with the boat at 20.2 knots.
